The instructions for the DS125 strobe says not to remove the Battery O ring at all and leave it in situ, I've been told by a buddy who had a DS125 flood that upon inspection after the fact there was sand or grit under the O ring that may have contributed to it flooding, and so he's considering cleaning under it, I guess my question is, Do I remove the O ring and clean under it and possibly avoid a flood but void a warranty, or leave it in place possibly causing a flood and waiting for the warranty to fix the problem (takes about 6 weeks of no strobe from downunder), kind of Damned if you and damned if you don't huh! ![]()

Instructions warn you to not stretch the "O" ring when cleaning or lubing. It is not a clean every time used, but should be done occasionally............

Well I'd hate to disagree with you Ike and on re-reading the instructions I'm not going to! it does indeed say be careful .. not don't, :freak: thanks for that! ..Love the strobes by the way!
