Here are a few shots taken recently on a dive with my D90 and Tokina 10-17mm. The Vis was down to 5m but so much life about. I tried using the Red LED's on my Sola600 Focusing light to see if the sharks come in closer. In the low vis they seem curious and did come in for a good look.
Unfortunately one shark look like its in trouble as it would open its mouth continuously like it was gasping and showed signs of malnourishment. Suspect hooks lodged in its stomuch. There has been alot of Grey Nurse Sharks which have hooks, wire, and even rope hanging out of them. This is a pity as they are critically endangered on the east coast of Australia.

Excellent shots in low vis.
Love that green water.
Very nice! I've also been quite amazed at how well the Tokina 10-17 does in low-viz conditions.
The Ike's seem like they were doing a nice job for you.

I am very surprised with the results with the Tokina 10-17 in general but in low vis like on that day its simply amazing. The Vis would be maxium of 5m if that.
I love the warm colour th Ikelite's put out and have recently sold my Ds125's to be replaced with Ds160's. Just like to have more grunt for the wide angle stuff. Also looking at using the Inon's z240's as a travel set with the Aquatica mini dome. I think I could pack my whole kit down into a carryon bag with this setup.

5m! That's good vis. 'round here...
... when I were lad vis. was 1' and t'were grateful if t'water were freezin'
(apologies to Monty Python).
Nice teeth...

Shots looked good, was that the set-up you used? (The new Ikes were not in yet, so you used Inons and mini-dome?) Sad to hear about the condition of the shark

If the places near me had 5m it would be great, not just good
And for the record, 50 of us grew up in a shoebox in the middle of the road.
The shots have were taken with dual Ikelite Ds125's. I Sold them this week and now have to order new DS160's. I used the 8 inch dome but I have the 100mm mini dome on the top of my list of things to get.
The conditions have been excellent all year and not mant times have we had vis lower than 5m. The average I would say has been 10-15m. I dont mind diving in low vis as you get alot more life out and about and most often or not when we get gin clear water (30m+) all the big stuff takes off.

I didn't have a shoebox: I had to use it as a housing for my camera...
