Myself and two other friends just got back from a 2 week trip to the wonderful island of Bali. We did 20 dives at Tulamben and then went to Menjangen island for a couple more dives. At Tulamben we stayed at Wreck Divers and I cant recommend them enough they were great. The diving at Menjangen was also good with nice corral and steep walls. All these wide angle shots were taken with a D90 tokina 10-17 and a pair of sea and sea ys27dx strobes. I hope you enjoy them as I really enjoyed taking them.
And some macro. All shot with the 60mm
Wow, you did a great job on Heinrich the barracuda! Also like the bumphead parrotfish. Macro-wise, the mantis shrimp, it is dark...
Looks like you had a wonderful trip Matt. Congrats on all the nice images.

Thanks for sharing these, Matt! You captured some stunning images! We've been to Tulamben once, stayed at TWD (loved it!) and can't wait to return. We hope to dive Menjangen too. Can you tell us more about your experience there? Resort? Dive operator? Thanks!
Cheers!
Jen
Great shots Matt. Love the lighting on the mantis.
Hi Matt,
Looks like you had a great trip.
Glad to see the little strobes were up to the job.

Matt,
Great photos there - it is a fantastic place and TWD really do it well.

Amazing images, especially I like WA! Tokina is best lens I ever had!
Hey guys I am glad you liked them.
Jen we stayed at Adi Assri resort Located in Pemuteran. It is only 30 mins boat ride from Menjangen Island. The resort is very nice but might try to stay somewhere a little cheaper next time. They have a dive operator called Sea Rovers at the resort witch is a good operation but I think they mainly get divers that just do a dive on their yearly holiday so I don't think that they see many serious cameras. But they run a tight ship with great boats and good guides .
Pete the strobes were fine i just had do bump up my iso to 400 do get decent lighting.
