Ikelite Sync Cable Length

Hi,

I'm using some Ikelite manual controllers for off camera strobes and would like to lengthen 1-2 of the sync cables on the manual controllers.

Has anyone done this before, and if so what is the practical length? 3-5m wou;d be more than sufficient for my purposes.

Also can anyone recommend a certain type of cable that needs to be used?
