Farnsworth Banks (Catalina, CA) pix

From our Reef Seekers trip Saturday on the Great Escape. Farnsworth is a pinnacle off the backside of Catalina which, because it's totally exposed and lies a few miles off-shore, can be difficult to get to. This time of the year, though, you get pretty good conditions. Farnsworth is also home to probably the largest aggregation of purple hydrocoral that we find in California.
