First green water (cold water) shots

6 posts
  1. I first took my DSLR into cold water with a drysuit a few weeks ago, and last week did 8 dives up in Nootka Sound in British Columbia, Canada. I struggled with controls in my drygloves, but I think I'm finally getting the hang of it. You can find my a brief trip report HERE and the gallery from that trip HERE, but here are my first "green water" shots (note: the bright greens are not from overprocessing in Photoshop, but merely the camera's sensor registering the green water more "brilliantly" than the diver's eye):

  2. Nicely done! You should have a look at the Cameq dial extenders for the INON Z240s. Makes a world of difference with gloves on.

Sounds like a great idea, but they don't appear to be available here in the states... :drink:

  4. Nice shots! I like the second one :drink:

    Hey Bruce,

I think Xit 404 makes some control knobs for your Aquatica rig. You can check at Backscatter who carries them or contact Mike or Jody direct.

That last shot with the green over the blue is very interesting.

As Steve said, very interesting. The jelly shot would have been very cool had you managed to frame it slightly higher in the frame. Some really nice colours in them though. Looks like you had a great trip with some great people Bruce.

    Be good
