Ikelite G11 housing and Inon Z240 strobe

    I have done a search but not found anything that answers this question.

     

    I have a Canon G11 in an Ikelite housing, and recently purchased an Inon Z240 strobe.

     

    On the dealer's recommendation, I got the fibre optic kit (W9) for olympus camera (which screws onto the ikelite's flash blocking panel. I am a little worried with hindsight that it might not be the most effective or elegant solution.

     

    My question is: has anyone successfully used this combination? Did you have to modify the flash blocking panel to make it work? Any tips or hints?
