But, amazon.co.uk does not deliver outside the UK and Republic of Ireland. I suppose you could fly over there and have it delivered to the hotel, but that may mitigate your savings re buying in the US (assuming you originate from the US).

Yes, you could then reclaim the VAT when you left, but it does seem like a bit of a rigmarole.
