Hi Divers :
I just returned from Indonesian Moluku Ambon island , diving with blue rose diver (BRD)/ Santai beach resort--half price than Moluku diver , the best DM in Ambon area is " Robert " , new muck dive site is named by him " Robert's point / secret " , that is different from the usual Laha dive site , BRD can arrange all of diving activity, room, transporation , food, local tour ...., I summary the dive site :
1. Muck diving : all of Rhinopias is disappear from Laha I,II,III, Rhino city....northern shore muck dive site , the old Ambon frog fish is died 4 months ago ( attacked , eaten by moray eel ? ) , Robert had sighted his dead body , his kid ( baby Ambon frog fish ) escape from usual living place and disappear for 4 months . the best muck dive site is " Robert's point / secret " . Air Manis jetty : grouped fishes are absent for several months, but 10-20 batfish , more than 100 shrimp fish is still there .
2. Reef diving : Pintu Kota ( 5 min by boat from BRD ) , Hukurilla cave ( 15 min by boat from BRD ) are two best dive site . need two dives for each site for a wide-angle photography . visibility : 15-25 meters.
3. Blue water pelagic diving : Pulau Tiga ( three small island , one hour by boat from BRD ) is good for big fish ( a more than two meters stupid grouper , eagle ray , sharks, countless blue-fin trigger fish , lots of colorful sea fan....) .
4.Wreck diving : A more than 60 years unnamed ( call it Ambon shipwreck , 40 min by boat from BRD ) wreck on Ambon bay , close to oil factory pier , best dive time is morning ( better visibility , 10 meters ? ) , lie on sandy slope ( 15-35 meters ) , very beautiful soft coral cover the upper deck area , good for wreck photography, need two dives.
