Was a great trip and one we will repeat. Conditions were challenging and showed I need to work on my natural light shots.
Never dove with these guys before, what fun.
The hammer heads were out there but with the "low" vis it was a struggle
We saw 4 whale sharks, doubling our previous total, seeing same one on 3 dives
Niiiice!!! #2 is just too cute to be true
Looks like You had some GREAT dives down there!
Thanks for sharing!
Cheers

I loved Darwin and Wolf. The action we had there was amazing and looks like you had great schools too. I could not believe to what lengths and sizes the whalesharks grow to out there. Totally amazing. Love your images as they bring back so many brilliant memories for me.

wauww...definitely a place that I will visit. Amazing to see the hammerheads...
It is a really fantastic place. There was a rumor on board that they were going to expand the dive fleet from 4 boats to 17 in the near future. IMHO this could ruin the experience. At Wolf and Darwin there are really only 1 dive site and then you drift. We had a dive where another group was there when we arrived, ok hammerhead action, then they lifted off and started drifting, No more hammerheads. Reality is the other group was "pushing them out" from the wall. No ones fault but if you had 30-40 people at these two sites what a nightmare.
Ok few more blurry pics...

looks like you had a great trip. cant wait to get out there one day.
thanks for the pictures! they aren't blurry at all and i really enjoyed viewing them.
Thanks, at the start of the second week both of my wifes Sony HC9s gave us a blue screen saying "video heads must be cleaned, insert cleaning tape" which of course we did not have. Tried everything but could not get them to work. So the good news is my better half wants to go back next year!

looks like you had a great trip. nice job on the photography. i heard it can be quite difficult shooting in the galapagos with the currents and vis. the seal on the bench is great!
I found the conditions challenging. Gray subjects that like to stay 20-30ft away, viz in the 30-50ft range, fairly low light, and yes some current. At times even if I was hidden behind a rock, knees firmly around another, when I would pop up to take a shot the current would push my right over. I shot mainly the Nikon 17-55mm 2.8. With the ISO at 320 since I am shooting the D200 should have used 400. But live and learn.

you said that you were using the Nikon 17-55mm 2.8 Which housing do you have? Just in case it is Sea&Sea: which port combination?
Peter
I have an Aquatica housing, using the 9.25 dome port with their extension. The whale sharks photos were taken with the Tokina 10-17mm same port with a very narrow extension. Sorry don't know the model numbers.

thanks for that clarification! I was trying to find out what others use as extension on the Sea&Sea housing for that lens.
