Three More Fish

  1. All taken in Bali last month.

I have the first provisionally down as a snubnose grouper (Epinephelus macrospilos) or a longfin grouper (E. quoyanus)

The second as Hipposcarus sp. due to its longish "face" but I may be way off beam.

The third I cannot find anything similar at all...but then I find parrotfish pretty hellish due to variable colourations, several life stages etc

    Any help gratefully received

  2. First one looks just like a zillion and one Epinephelus merra I've shot in the Andaman Sea. I suspect you'd need a side shot to make a deinitive id because it might also be one of the other's you've guessed at.

Third looks like the ones I've put down as Chlorurus sordidus. Male phase.

Just got home from a night out on the lash so take the above with a large pinch of sea salt.
