Mark these shots are awesome!!
Too much of that incredible diving is not good for You (it will not stay incredible forever), so I'm willing to switch places anytime ![]()
First and last are my fav.
Thanks for sharing
Cheers

Outstanding images.
I would like to know what settings did you use for these shots.
Are you using the sigma 50 mm for all your shots?
How much ISO are you using and how much noise are you getting as a result?
With the small size of the shots is difficult to tell how much noise they have.
I'm asking this because I want to move to full frame and I'm interested in how a full frame works in this kind of low light environments and with highlights in the background.
Awesome shots Mark. ![]()
As a tourist / visitor how easy is it to
1: dives these Cenotes ?
2: take pictures while diving them - i.e get the stationary time to do it.

I'm not down there to shoot stills, so the stills I get is just what's dialled in to the camera at that time for video.
In this case:
ISO 2500
1/30th s
f/5 or there about.
Yeah, there's a hell of a lot of noise at 100%, but if I was shooting stills I wouldn't be up at 2500. PM me your eMail and I'll send you a 100% crop if you like.
All taken with the Sigma 15mm 2.8

Paul, it's very easy to dive these cenotes, most dive shops run cenote trips, mainly to either Chac Mool (& Kukulkan) or Dos Ojos (Bat cave).
You'll need to check, but it's about $100 ish for the two tanks including admission.
Yes it's easy to take pictures while you're there, just speak to your guide and tell him that you want to take photos. If you're an experienced diver, he'll probably put you at the back of the group so you don't have the person behind bumping you on.
You won't have masses of time, but you should have enough.
The annoying thing is that you have to keep to the group that will follow the cave line, so you can't swim across somewhere to get a good shot off, you have to make do with what you have, positionally.
Hope this helps, send me a PM if you want any other info.
