  1. Nice Collection of pics. I am heading off in 2 weeks and getting a little excited.

You said the vis was down? Down to what?....I dive Tulemben a few years ago and had decent vis.

How did you fins Amed? I never dived there and would like a current update in whats there.

    Regards Mark

    Hi Mark,

This my second trip this year to these places. Condition not as good as in April.

Tulamben - we got about 10-15m still decent but not for WA we got about 20m plus in April

Seraya - also about 10 m but lots of nudis there this time around with some usual suspect there

Amed - On last trip we found tiger shrimp but on this trip we dove 2 sites know for tiger shrimp but we found none. Pyramid offer decant vis about 10 m with lots of fishes and soft corals. Ghost Bay and Pantai Cinta (Lover's Beach) only about 5 m vis shallow and lots of rubbish. Plenty of froggies in these 2 area.

great job. love the pigmy seahorse. i dove bali, but unfortunately it was before i had a camera. gives me a reason to go back. i love the wreck at tulamben

  4. Viz is still about 10-15 metres, a lot of plankton-type stuff in the water. I shot wide angle the first day but have been shooting macro ever since.

Thediddavid - which site had the yellow pygmy? - nice shot!

I think in Bali so far I only found Denise Pygmy Seahorse (red one), I saw the yellow one in Menado area local people call it PONTOHI (it sound like that pardon the spelling).

This seahorse our DM found it at seraya area at about 33m depth.

The pygmy on the picture above is the yellow form av bargibanti. The denise can be yellow, but does not have the "hunmps" that bargibanti has. Sucks that they are so often found so deep!

Where did you find the crustacean (I guess?) on your second picture?

    regards

Sorry, my mistake. I meant the second from the end, the yellowish one on maybe a rope sponge? It looks like some kind of isopod, but I could be totally wrong on that.

    Regards
