  1. I saw this on the Ikelite Website: http://www.ikelite.com/web_pages/vpro2800.html

    The brightness of these little LEDs are improving out of sight.

    2800 lumens!

    Cheers Mark

    Incredible 100 degree angle and an hour and a half (supposed) burn time @ 2800 lumens!

  2. Greetings;

    I recently purchased an ikelite pro-2800. I use an Canon HF10, with an ikelite housing and WP-80 wide angle lens. I test drove the light in a local quarry, then took it caving in Florida. I love it:) I have not run through a lot of burn cycles, but get over 2.45hours of burn on the high power setting with a dual battery pack. The entire system moves pretty well in the water. I never noticed any hotspots and got good penetration from the light. Figured the caves are the best environment for evaluation, as there is no sunlight:) I uploaded a video to youtube (could not figure out how to do it here!).

    Please see below-new link.

    I am using a single light, but will add a second as soon as I can.

  3. Sorry, I did not watch the video once posted. It looked terrible-lots of artifacts.

    I posted a new one:)

  4. My buddy want to buy two of them, but is scared that they are not bright enough.

    Does somebody have them and can give me a brief review?

    Thanks!

    Chris

  5. I really like mine, with S95 camera. check out my video from Cozumel

  6. So far, it is really wide and strong without a strong hot spots. Battery is not that big and heavy. I just need to add a couple floats to balance the buoyancy. It lasted longer than 2 full dives. I just test drove it in Cozumel last month. It is good for stills in most situations. I'm planning to buy another lamp because the battery has two outlets. I think it will give me plenty to give me better exposure for stills. I'm really happy with it so far. I'll do more test on stills in the future. I just need to be a better photographer.
