DS-125 and Nikonos SB 105 on TTL?

4 posts
  1. I use the DS-125 as the primary strobe with my S2. From time to time I can use my friend's Nikonos SB 105 as a second strobe (slave mode) .

Is it posible to have TTL capabilities from the 105 in slave mode with the my DS-125 or should I use it on manual mode?

    Thank you in advance,

    Dany Weinberg

  2. The SB105 is not a TTL slave strobe. Meaning that when you use it in slave mode, it fires at whatever power you set it at (full, 1/4 or 1/16, I believe).

With that said, you CAN purchase a dual sync cord for one Ikelite strobe and one Nikon strobe and use both strobes in TTL...if you want to.

    Cheers

  4. Very similar to what i am doing. I use both a DS50 and a SB-102 connected with the Ike dual synch cord. I shall be trying this combo out for the first time over the xmas period in Irian Jaya. What i have noticed is that when using the dual synch cord you must have both flashes on and functional for either flash to work.
