Hi I bought a 110a about a year ago and have used it manually. I am planning to add another flash to my rig and was going to give TTL a good try on my next trip.
Reading the compatibility on the SnS site it appears that TTL on the 100a does NOT work with my E-520 or the E-620.
Has anyone tried this on a similar set up?
Ideally I would like to add a Inon Z240 but I dont suppose there is anyone out there with that combo?
regards for Christmas

I have an E-620, Oly housing, and dual optical Z240's. I am very happy with rig.
It will work fine with optical sync. What they are referring to is electrical sync. Yes, you can mix and match, but I always found it hard to remember the controls on two different strobes, plus you can have slight color temperature and coverage differences.
Jack
Hi Guys sorry I didn't get back earlier. Christmas etc etc.
Bought a Inon Z240 and will use the 110a as a slave strobe. Now all I have to deal with is the issues you raise Jack.
Is it better to run a slave from the Inon or just the second optical connection on the housing? Or doesn't it make any difference?

Conchy - with 20x rear end sighting, I should have waited and bought 2 x Z240's it was the cost that shook me. I got a good deal on the 110a + I have always used SnS flashes and been very happy with them.
I tested the TTL on the 110a a few days ago and it doesn't work it seems to under expose seriously.
So now to see what happens with the combo and maybe an ebay sale (12 month old 110a) and more dough into another Z240 or it may work. The 110a is a fine and powerful flash and I have been happy with it as a manual strobe.

Ardy,
Take it to a local pool and work with it there to get it working properly. I use little weighted bath tub fish and shoot in the shallow end of the pool. The lifeguards think it is pretty funny, but it helps you get the kinks out.

Hi Again Conchy - I found out what I was NOT doing!
I was running the flash from 1/64th manual flash as soon as I set it on auto it works. Stupid of me but sometimes I get too deep into a problem before looking at the obvious answer.
Will say it is not great and seems to expose correctly up to about 3ft then it gets 'iffy'.
My new Z240 T4 arrived yesterday and I am up to my ears trying to get a handle on all the settings etc. I will drill a 2mm hole in the bottom of the sensor cap plug and attach the optical cable to the cap then see if it all works as I am too mean to spend $80 on a D optical cable.
