Flounders in the Mirror

While in Bonaire a few months ago, we learned that not only pike blennies and sailfin blennies are territorial but that flounders are very curious about their images in a mirror. Check out this flounder, looking for the guy behind the mirror. Shot and narrated by my wife, all I did was watch and laugh.

Cool video; borders on flounder psychological torture.

Very funny Bill, had a good chuckle over that behaviour. Thanks for sharing

Cheers,

Jim.

Ha hahaha ! that was worth a laugh. Never seen that before.

Excellent stuff. Reminds me of the first time my cockatoo see himself in a mirror. Besides the flounder fun, the other content was very good too.

I needed a smile on my face today and that has just given me it.

Fantastic video, both the pre-flounder beginning parts and the flounder segments.

Very nice video, and the flounder was great! He reminded me of a kitten who first encounters a mirror but is surprised to not find anything behind the mirror.
