Mixing Inon Z240 and Sns 110a - what is best set up?

  1. Hi All

Just bought an Inon Z240 type 4 and I have a 110a which I will use as a slave. I am not too worried about colour temp as there is not a lot between them.

What I would like to know is do I set the 110a up as a slave to the Inon or just attach it to my housing with Optical cable as it is now.

What impact will the set up have on TTL shooting?

    regards

  2. Got it all set up and using TTL on both flashes together works surprisingly well.

I attached both with a separate OC's to the housing. It took me some time to understand that I needed to set my camera to normal flash rather than 1/64th manual to get the TTL info to the flashes, once I had conquered that in about 1 hour! then I was away. Macro is excellent and normal fish shots are fine. Tried a couple of WA shots and they looked a little underexposed to me. Still I don't do a lot of that and can easily set them to manual.

The optical cables I made up from parts and the only tricky part was a 8mm blanking off rubber grommet to fit the Inon, found one in a car parts shop. They cost about $8 for both.
