nikon 35mm

Have any of you tried the Nikon 35mm 1.8 behind a dome?

Generally it does not focus close enough to be of much use. Once underwater the lens has to focus on the virtual image created by the dome, which is much closer to the camera than the true subject.

But not seen this actual lenses tested. Seen several people try 50mm (non macro) lenses and come up proclaiming a total waste of a dive. If you are going to try it - do so in the pool and pay attention to close focus. Don't waste a dive.
