Took this on Wednesday at Long Point, Old Marineland, Palos Verdes, CA, at about 35 feet, Water Temp 52 degrees, Length of shell about 4-5 inches. There were lots of Kellet's Whelks around, but none of them had the distinctive knobs on the shell like this one. Is this a variation of a Kellet's Whelk, or something else entirely? I couldn't find anything like it in my books, nor did I find anything similar on line. Thanks for your help.

Thanks, all. Maxbottomtime over on Scubaboard informs me that it is a Kellet's Whelk with bryozoans Attached.
