  1. Has anyone stayed at kima bajo resort/eco divers in manado recently? We are thinking of going there for our honeymoon but wanted some first hand experiences before hand. What is the service like, is the food of a good quality, what are the rooms like, is there a house reef & what is the diving like?

    Cheers pete.

  2. I'm reliably informed its on a steep hill so a bit of a walk/climb up and down to do your diving, Cocotinos next door is supposed to be worth considering

  3. We stayed at Kima Bajo and dove with Eco Divers. The resort is upscale with individual bungalows with balconies situated on the side of a hill overlooking the bay. There is a hike up and down the hill but it was not bad. The food was good and the diving was very good. We did a week at Bunaken and week at Lembeh Straits with Eco Divers when they were at KBR.

As far as diving resorts go, Kima Bajo is very nice and we would stay there again with hesitation. There is no house reef to speak of.

  4. I dove with Eco Divers when they were with Tasik Ria back in late 2007. Good boats, good crew, good food!

  5. Ok thanks everyone. This is just one of several options for our honeymoon, kapalai being the top of the list but just looking at other options also.

    Cheers Pete.

  6. You should be aware of the limited permits to dive Sipadan, so Sipadan diving is not a given. Also you should look at Sipadan Water Village, their house reef is awsome.

  7. We are now looking at cocotinos, any other options in the area?

    Cheers Pete.
