FS: Ikelite Super Wide 8" Dome Port with shade and neoprene cover.

  1. Selling an Ikelite 8” Super Wide dome port, used for only a few dives. I used it with an Ikelite D200 housing.

This dome actually consists of three separate items if you order one new.

    #5510.45 Dome (8", 4" radius) assembly only

#5510.10 Super Wide Body for the above dome

#5510.05 Neoprene Cover and Shade assembly

Ikelite did a great job with this dome and shade. I have been impressed with the great quality of this dome. I used this dome with the Nikon 16mm fisheye lens and a Nikon 10.5mm lens and got spectacular results. It is obviously well-centered and optically correct, and can accommodate any lens with any camera with the proper extension ring or not. Two examples of images taken with this dome port are attached (well, only one due to wp's size limitations for this forum -- you can see both images at the web link below). You can see the dome’s excellent edge-to-edge sharpness and color fidelity in these images.

I believe that I have the OLD Superwide Port Body:

    #5510.10 OLD Superwide Port Body

The original #5510.10 Superwide Port Body is compatible with all 2-lock housings when using any lens that references #5510.11 in the dSLR lens port charts. The #5510.10 is not compatible with 4-lock housings.

The dome, shade, and cover are in near- mint cosmetic and working condition. The dome has NO scratches and is basically like new.

Please do your research and make sure that this dome port will work with your Ikelite housing. I would like to help answer questions but am not familiar with all the different combinations of housings and ports out there now. I do know that I used this dome with #9072.24 low profile port locks that were installed on the housing. These lower profile port locks can be used with any Ikelite port. The Super Wide port is slotted to drop over these closed port locks and turn like a bayonet style mounting.

It should be an easy and inexpensive change to buy a new Super Wide body for this dome. A new one retails for $125 at the Ikelite site.

Images of the dome port and two sample images can be seen at:

I'd like to sell this for $499. It is going on Ebay after this week.

If you are interested, please contact Norbert Wu at temp1_at_norbertwu.com. Please no phone calls. I am happy to entertain other offers. I can accept Paypal, money orders, and personal checks. Money orders and personal checks will have to clear my bank before the product is shipped; which can take up to three weeks. Shipping will be at buyer's expense (at actual cost) and will be UPS Ground, Fedex Ground, or USPS Priority Mail (all of which give tracking of packages). If we conclude a deal, I'll give you a quote for shipping via one of the above methods.

    Thanks!
