Cowsharks in the mist...

7 posts
  1. I had not done a dive with the cowsharks for some time, and the weather was not great for diving anywhere in Cape Town over the weekend. The visibility was trashed right around the entire peninsula after a recent period of big swell. Fellow Wetpixellian Aqua Soul and I were really keen to get in the water and decided to do a green water, low vis dive with the cowsharks. Diving with these animals is always inspirational, regardless of how the pictures turn out and this was no exception.

  2. Nice! Those sharks must have been extremely close to your lens!

  3. sasdasdaf, I will let Jean describe in detail, but you are 100% correct, they get which in dome touching distance.

I can just reiterate what Jean said, this is an amazing dive regardless of how many times you have done it.

On a day like this with low viz the sharks literally seems to appear out of nowhere and then with there slow graceful movements, time seem to freeze for those few seconds its visible before disappearing into the green fog.

  4. Awesome stuff guys; itching to do that dive again, but with a decent 7mm (or drysuit) next time. :( Froze my but off with that rented suit last time.

  5. Very cool!

Really like the first and last shot.

    Cheers
