Real Bahamian Diving in the out islands

  1. A lot of people tell me that there isn't much to see in the Bahamas for diving, I guess relative to the south pacific that is totally true. However, I still think it is a fun and easy to get to dive destination with great photo opportunities. Here are some I took on a recent trip to some out islands with a Canon T1i and a 15mm canon lens in a sea and sea housing with small glass dome and one ds200 strobe. I carried on all of my equipment requiring me to downsize on my camera gear and pack only a bathing suit and a couple tshirts. Any photo critique and constructive criticism is more than welcome.

  2. Nobody has any criticism or feedback?

  3. Really enjoyed the third photo. It's nice to hear something nice about the Bahamas other than the shark diving.

  4. Thanks for sharing.

Which out-islands do you find best?

Which out-islands do you find best?

I haven't had the chance to visit many of them, but so far I like Eleuthera the best.

  6. Very nice.

  7. Hi there

I have some very warm memories of diving in Nassau....

I havent got to your level yet....... your eye is there...but... based on all the fantastic images I have seen here

here's some feedback for you...IMHO...which you may find helpful...and its based on my first glance....

Image 1 - Angel fish is a bit lost...I would try to improve on negative space and/or make him more prominent

Image 2 - Lovely image-I would be really proud to have an image like this one...but... your fish is swimming away

image 3 - diver swimming away- try getting him to face your camera with a flashlight next time...(alot of trust and communication needed...i still havent got a shot like that yet!)-maybe get closer to the sponge too and put more of it in cause I think you are trying to tell the viewer about the sponge which caught your eye first??

    image 4 and 5 ...lovely..

image 6....I assume you are trying to tell us about the little fish in the photo? this is the weakest one cause the fish are lost in the negative space...I had to look for them...

keep on taking pics and enjoy the curve
