  1. Back in the pool this weekend for three days of shooting. Lots of planning, but nothing went off quite as planned or hoped.

A few interesting images, I will post a few as I work through them. Yesterday, my model Benji was amazing, a contortionist who seemed almost as comfortable in the water as above it.

Almost given up on consistent color balance, just go with what looks good.

  2. I'm lovin the last one Jeff. The light under her left foot is really nice.

  3. I love the 4th one, for me all the elements come togther nicely in that one to give the photo a classical feel.

IMHO the light under the foot is too strong, making it the focus point where my eye go and then stay. (Great if that was the idea, but if I had to guess, I would say the face was the desirable focus point)

  4. unreal!!

  5. thanks for the comments. It was a tough weekend; lots of planning but a lot of little details went awry - crap in the pool from a deteriorating pool cover, then feather fragments from a costume, one first time model that was a blowout, doll makeup on the model above turning out to look a little like the Joker, gold makeup attempts washing off etc, costume failures ala Janet Jackson, not quite the ideal lens choice using the Phase 645 etc, so a few close ones, but nothing I am totally happy with.

But I learned a lot..... :) Next time......

They look great despite it not going as planned or hoped, really like 1 and 4....

  7. As always I very much enjoy viewing your images. They strive to make we want to be better at my underwater images.

I really love the colour's in the first image, for me it was a toss up as to which I liked best 1 or 3.

May I just say I think 3 has the potential to be an incredible image, I downloaded and inverted it, and found myself thinking just a touch of fill from below and this image would have been ... WOW. (not that it isn't good as is)

Sorry to hear thinks not going 100% as planned, oddly enough it makes me feel better about my attempts though. Overcome adapt and get what you can ... and you came up with some very nice images indeed.

    Cheers

    Ben

  8. The last one is stunning!
