Rear curtain synch

4 posts
  1. Does anyone know if the 5Dmk2 has the capability of using rear curtain synch with sea and sea YS250 strobes and with the body housed in a Sea and Sea housing. I am away from home at the moment and dont have my housing with me. I have gone through the camera settings and there is a setting in there for RCS but it requires a speedlite to be fitted prior to the menu opening up. Will I be able to get into the RCS menu once I have my YS250's attached by synch cord.

  2. I am not a Canon user - but AFAIK - the only UW strobe that will rear curtain synch with any Canon is Seacam's strobes (or housed land strobes).

Cheers Alex, not the answer I wanted to hear, but the one I thought I would hear.

I am not sure that I believe Dr. Mustard's answer at least for optically fired strobes. I think I am shooting my 7D/Nauticam/Inon on 2nd curtain but of course that doesn't help Stew since he can't shoot optically (maybe with the electrical/optical converter but probably not).
