    Hi Stew

The video and photos was taken by myself on the 1st of March 2011 - I teach scuba diving on Koh Lanta and over the past 6 years have had some amazing experiences with Whale Sharks it is a real shame seeing something like this mainly due to lack of education and people greed for profit.

  6. It is sad and, unfortunately, divers are usually preaching to the choir. It is those who need to see, hear and understand that we fail to effectively communicate with regarding the damage that they do.

I've only led two groups to Thailand, one of them was when the Tsunami occurred in 2004. One thing I always noticed when we were diving was the amount of speeding boat traffic that was going on overhead. Obviously, they need laws to enforce these boats to slow the heck down. It was dangerous for the divers and marine life.
