Best Digital for Sun Rays

What are your canidates for best dslr for capturing sun rays underwater?

D7000 is an option.

I would say any camera which has a flash sync of around 1/500th. The older Nikon D70 and D40 had flash Sync of 1/500th.

The Nikon D7000 has flash sync 1/320th which would be about the best of the current Nikon DSLR lineup.

Hi,

Coming from a D2Xs, I've found the D7000 excellent for sunbursts:

I think the combination of 1/320 sync speed, the pixel density and the 14 bit processing all help!

Conditions and how you shoot it is the most important thing. Much more important than camera choice. But newer cameras with 14bit RAW are clearly better than older cameras.
