kelp or velvet in Perth

Hi Everyone,

Jet another fish for ID. Please help. We found it on a night dive in Perth.

It might be a Velet or a Wasp fish. A couple have been sighted around the Ammo Jetty at Woodman Point. There was a post about one on WADivers - www.wadivers.com.au

we acctually saw it at Robbs jetty, so prettty close to Ammo.

With that skin texture, it's a velvetfish. Most likely Aploactisoma milesii. Here is a photo to compare:

Yes definitely an Aploactisoma milesii, we get them over here to and see lot's on night dives.
