quicktime "trim to selection"

3 posts
  1. Hello, so probably a common question, but not common enough to come up in the wetpixel search...

    I need to supply a length-shortened version of a h.264 .mov clip

so, if I do a "trim to selection' in quicktime, then do a "save as" .mov ... do I affect the quality of the clip?

Is it like re-saving a jpeg? or does it just take the ends off and not, affect the quality of the clip?

thanks in advance and in anticipation :)

  2. If your settings are kept the same and you are just trimming the selection and 'saving as', no quality will be lost. Go have fun and don't worry.
