proud mom - son got accepted to GA Tech

I know this is not diving related, but just have to share.

My son got his acceptance notice today to GA Tech. This has been his top college of choice ever since we visited there last year. He is going into engineering and has wanted this very much. We are so proud of him and very excited about what is to come. Cannot believe that in 5 months he wll be going off to college. But first...graduation in 2 months.

Have to say, I told him last week that the mom and dad scholarship has GPA requirements. He laughed before acknowledging I was not kidding.

So, very proud mother and father here. - DiverPam

Wow, that is so great Pam.

One of my old college buddies is a professor there.

Congrats!

Congratulations. Have him check out the Petit Institute for Bioengineering. I have been on their board for the last two years and they are one of the leaders in muli-disciplinary engineering research.

Thanks for the info. I will pass it along to him. One of the reasons GA Tech was so far above others on his list was the coop programs/opportunities available through their program. The offerings were very impressive.

He did his housing application today - not lack of enthusiasm from him for this. My pocket book is already screaming and I have only done 2 deposits so far.

Thanks again for all the congrats! - DiverPam (proud mom)

Is there any chance my son would have your friend for a professor?

Could be. He teaches classes in the poly sci department, and apparently his students love the classes.

Name is Peter Brecke.
