Hey folks.
I see there is some new competition for the s2000, for smallest, lightest strobe.
But no info in digital diver strobe finder yet.
What's the scoop? Anyone using them? How do they compare?

I have them both. The S2000 is a bit lighter (300 g vs. 400 g, empty of batteries). The S2000 is 64 x 83 x 106 mm while the YS-01 is 68 x 108 x 129 so it is a bit larger in all dimensions. The main difference is that it is longer from front to back. Performance wise, there is very little to tell them apart at least shooting macro. Of course the YS-01 has an aiming/focus light if that is important to you. Both have GN of 20 without the diffuser but in my testing with a reasonably calibrated Sekonic flash meter both come off more like 16 without diffuser but maybe my test is not official. In any case, both seem very easy to use and you pretty much can't tell them apart at least for macro (that's all I shoot). If you want to see pics side by side let me know.
