Canon Lens Service

  1. So being in the Cayman islands even if we had someone that claimed to I probably wouldn't use them.

What is my best servicing option for an L series lens (28-70mm) that is fogged up .. it's not major .. it just gives everything a slightly soft feel.

No flooding, so probably just a good clean would help, my body might like one as well .. any suggestions for good international servicing.

Canon or somewhere in Florida or New York or Atlanta would be best for me.

    Thanks

    Giles

  2. The Canon service center in the New York/New Jersey area has always done a good job for me when I needed it.

    100 Ridge Rd, Jamesburg, NJ

    (732) 521-7230

Pretty quick and good service the times I have used them and easy to set up via Canon's site to send in. I always put a detailed cover letter in.

  3. Thanks, it seems to be a good option .. and shame of shames i may have to go up to New York to collect it .. oh darn!

Well if you got to pick it up, will buy you a beer to get over your shame, or at least reduce it a bit ;)

  5. Lol what shame?

the shame of having to finally service a $1200 lens that came as a kit lens with my D60 (for free) after 8 years of use ;) ?

Or the shame of having to go to NYC one of my fave cities! I will be there with bells on!
