New Gallery :)

I have just finished uploading my firs three galleries to my smug mug account..

Please feel free to view and comment - and C&C is always greatly recieved. Eventually i will reorganise so that it is easier to find things .... Imlove taking photos but i am a bit slow when it comes to displaying and posting...

I am still working on my gallery from here in the UAE and Musandam and i will post that once it is finished.

Looking great Alastair! Smugmug is a wonderful format and you have taken full advantage. Your fish images are really nice to my eye. It appears that your limited a little by your stobe power on a few of the wide angle images.

As for improvement thoughts. If it was mine I'd be thinking about taking some of the multiple images out. Really tough for us to do but some feel that you're only as good as the worst pic in the portfolio.

All in all, very impressive, I really enjoyed going through the slideshows.

I really enjoyed your photos, they are looking great. I would comment that it would be better to my eye if the watermark was somewhere else in the photos, it is very distracting being placed dead center and takes away from your work.

Thanks for the kind remarks... i thought really hard about the watermark - and i think that i will fade it to the point that it is barely visible although i have noticed on some of the galleries it has not update..

i think smugmug is a really user freindly sharing site to use although there are a few quirks that i didn't know about but it was an easy learning curve..

The strobe power was definetly the operator and not the equipment.... i had been using the camera on land and had boosted the LCD levels by +2 and then i ignored the histogram ( an easy lesson learnt!). When i post my galleries from here in the Musandam (fanatastic diving by the way!!) I hope that you will see a difference. I plan on taking the mutliple images out - it is just sooo hard to decide!!
