I finally put my pictures up from January of our trip to Fiji on the Fiji Dancer. This must truly be the soft coral capital of the world. The reefs were so vibrant and healthy. There were hugh schools of small fish. The only large fish we saw were in Shark Ally and on the last day, two shark feed dives. Here are my pics http://www.public.asu.edu/~elliotg/

Hi Elliott,
Isn't Fiji a wonderful place to spend some time? I went through your images and had a couple of questions. I don't know much about your Sony so you'll have to forgive be if these are dumb questions. I was curious about how your setting up your camera. I noticed that the settings change quite a bit for picture to picture. Some of your images have a very nice blue background and a few aren't quite as nice. Are you using an "auto" function or setting the camera manually?
By the way, how was the Dancer?
Cheers,
Steve

it is set up for auto underwater water. that works pretty well down to ~30 feet. i use photoshop elements to fix up the color, as best that i can, the deeper i go , the less effective it is.
we had a great time on the Dancer. great crew, good food. my wife is a nondiver and she loves it.
