Could I please ask for some advice. I will be attending a friend's wedding in Cebu City around Christmas time and may have 3-4 days free to head to a nearby diving destination. I have searched the forum and read all the old posts but am looking for personal recommendations. I have ruled out Malapascua as it sounds like a pain to get to and have heard less favorable reviews from friends. How do people feel about Panglao/Cabilao/Dumaguete/Moalboal? Any particular resorts and dive operations to recommend or avoid?
I am primarily looking for good macro life as I shoot with 60mm and 105mm lenses and do not own a fisheye lens. I have been to Lembeh, Bali, Anilao, and Puerto Galera so I have relatively high expectations for muck diving.
My non-diver fiancee will be with me. Ideally we would stay somewhere with a nice beach that is peaceful and away from the crowds. It doesn't need to be high end, as long as it has the basics, decent food, is clean and close to nature.
One last thing - will weather conditions be ok in late December?
