  1. Just wanna enquire about the port combination with 105mm AF-S. I currently own the #18428 (60mm macro flat port). I am also using the extension ring #18453 for my Tokina 10-17mm. Will the combination of $18453 + #18428 work for the 105mm macro lens ? What will the issues be ??

  2. Hi Bighead.

According to the Aquatica type 4 (Nikon D7000) port chart from Scubapixs (Australian supplier) the AF Macro port (#18428) and the Extension ring (#18453) will fit both old and new version of the Nikkor 105mm macro.

    Regards Mark

  3. Sorry, I meant to say the #18456 + #18428 fr the 105mm.

  4. Extension 18456 (16.5mm) and the AF port 18428 will be too short to accept the 105mm Macro from Nikon. you need the 18453 (28.5mm) for this lens.

This is also the extension ring recommened for using the Tokina 10-17mm along with a TC 1.4x (or 1.5x) attache to it.

  5. Jean,

Does the same config (18453 (28.5mm), and the AF port 18428) will fit the new,

105mm F2.8 EX DG OS HSM Macro?

We never had the lens in for evaluation, but according to the Sigma site, it is 126.4mm versus the Nikon 105mm VR wich is 116mm, that is a 10mm difference, I would go for the 18462 just to be on the safe side

  6. Tks Jean.

This new lens has excellent reviews, and it seems is a very agressive competitor for the Nikon 105mm in terms of performance and price.
