I'm going to Cozumel for 1 day. I get there at 07:30 depart at 19:30. I want to do some great diving and photography. I am a PADI AI w/ 300+ dives in Monterey Bay, Channel Islands and Alaska. Believe it or not, this will be my 1st time in warm water. I want to stay away from the tourist diving cattle call operations. You know, the charters that take out the once-a-year divers. Could anyone recommend an outfit that caters to skilled divers, perhaps even an individual local that could take out out to the 90 foot sites south of Planncar Reef.

try Matt and Deborah at Deep Blue............www.deepbluecozumel.com.............they are in town across the street from La Choza restaurant...........their boats leave from a nearby dock......convenient it you are on a cruise ship..........they go everywhere on the island

Dive House is good (www.divehouse.com although the web site has been "under improvement" for over a year).
I dove with them last year, and they have great DMs. All but one boat is medium sized, not a cattle boat.
