Bonaire + new 105 lens = great time

8 posts
  1. Just got back from Bonaire. But this trip was quite memorable - we got there by way of Quito, Equador. Our flight was late getting into Atlanta (delta of course). Our plane was still sitting at the gate (door closed though) and we could not get on - after the usual run through the airport in Atlanta. Our luggage got on though. Since Delta only has one flight per week to Bonaire, we were routed through Quito to get to Bonaire. So we spent the night in the Andes before going to the Carribean.

I got to play with my new 105 mm lens this week so I would love some feedback on this as well. I took several dives were I just sat in the sand for 20-25 minutes at a time in one spot to get used to the lens. So many blennies to play with this week.

Here are a few shots, the rest are on my flickr site www.flickr.com/photos/pammurph

Enjoy and looking forward to the feedback guys - Diverpam

  2. Hi Pam,

I realy like the first one.

  3. Hi Pam, it looks like you are off to a great start with the 105mm lens. I like the last two particularly. The 105 is great for subjects like these, particularly the secretary blenny.

Thanks. I really like this lens. It was such fun to actually get in the water with it (on my camera). I kept reading and hearing about the extra distance this lens gives you with macro subjects (espcially shy ones) and did not realize what this means. WOW! I never took my Sigma 17-70 out the whole week in Bonaire. I love the small stuff - and this makes it even more fun.

    Happy diving Erwin - Pam

  5. Nice Blennies Pam!

But I have to say I like the B&W Hilma Hooker shot...

Thanks Jack. Since Peter and I were looking for blennies in Cayman, I have been wanting to get a few good ones.

Hope the new shop is going well - Pam
