Another shot Canon 300D

-
its done it again
is it the camera then ...
(and can we combine these two posts in the same topic ???)
the dark areas of the image are huge pixles .. very ugly
i am now thinking it must be the camera...
300d is 6mp right .. so why is this resolution in dark areas (bad resolution i might add) coming from ??

Calm down.
A picture with a rez of 1024x1536, truecolour and a size of 40kb has to show artifacts!
I can assure you you will get great picture with the 300D.
Anybody knows when Ike has his housing ready to ship? I just fired a mail to him to get the latest infos...
Best regards
Christian

from the titles of both his posts i was thinking the purpose of these shots were to show us how the camera performed underwater, and I have seen cameras do that before underwater artifacts or no artifacts
and as for calming down .. why would I be worried I am never going to get one of these cameras I am very happy with my D60 until i get the D1s or its successor
surely the reason to post these images was to show off what the 300d can do other wise the topic tile would have been diver and wreck .. please critique ?
anyway ... its getting late to get geeky

How about posting an image that is "properly" web-sized to show us the quality? And perhaps a 100% crop?
-
Yes, Giles but we have to be sure we are critiquing the camera and not the persons knowledge on how to best present the image for viewing on the web.
I think a repost as Eric has suggested will clearly show the picture quality will be up to standards.
I have made that very posting mistake in the past. I reduced the quality when downsizing and the pictures lacked focus and displayed artifacts when they truly did not have any in the original version. It was just a matter of the way it was reduced for web display. Purely my error and lack of knowledge at the time.

Sorry Giles, I did not want to sound harsh. I just forgot the smiley.

I hope the reposted images in the other thread clear things up.
