10bar housing + ikelite strobes?

Hi

I see there are 10bar housings for Oly EPL1/2. They offer both optical and electric strobe ports. They state:

"Strobe connectivity includes both Nikonos 5 pin bulkhead (Olympus protocol) and fiber optic sync."

At the moment I use an ikelite housing for a different Oly camera, and ikelite strobes (2x DS50).

Could I use these strobes with this housing, with the right cable? Would I get TTL?

No - you can't

Ikelite housing incl. converter from oly protocol to ikelite - but not the 10bar

You can use 10bar hardwire TTL with Oly protocol strobes only such as EFL-2 or housed strobe.

the ike strobes will work in manual.

Alternatively, you could use the heinrichs digital slave adapter, which will make most ike strobes into optical TTL slaves. If your ds50s are quite new...
