Are there any other dive operators/resorts besides Maluku that would worthy a couple days of diving? They are booked solid during our potential 2 night stay.

Yes, there are a few in the area. Only other one I've used is called Blue Rose. Run by another guy who worked in Ambon in the 90s. I remember they work out of Santai Hotel.<br />If you are jumping on a boat, try the newish resort of Cape Paparua, on Saparua. Some nice sites close by including my favorite site in Nusa Laut.
I know there's another resort that opened up in Saparua but can't remember the name. It was opened in the 90s.... Mahu maybe?

Blue Rose has good boats, mediocre rooms and food, quite inexpensive and dive the same areas. Cape Paparua a few hours away, fantastic rooms, good food, and prices to match. Good diving. No one else around too. Been to both.
