Not shared anything here for a while so I thought I'd share these images and story. All taken on the same dive with Nikon D7000, 105mm VR, +5 FIT dioptre, Nauticam housing, Inon Z240 strobes and Glowdive filters.
The photos are of jewel anemones in Plymouth, UK, taken from Peter Rowlands boat on a site we call the Crown Jewels as it is shaped like a crown (or a frame if you are being accurate) and covered in jewel anemones.
The shots are not to everyones taste. But it is nice to be able to get more than the green-wash look you often get with fluorescence photography. I was keen to get an effect like this in camera because the images were for a wildlife photography project and photoshopping is not permitted. I wanted to create abstract images that people wouldn't know what they are at first glance - which I think will be great in the street exhibitions planned for the project.
I know fluoresence photography is nothing original, I've shared fluor shots long before on wetpixel, even using filters I have made myself. But I do think they play a role from time to time.
Nothing to compete with whale sharks (mouths agape) but I find them interesting and different UW shots (I hope others do too). I find the closed ones the most graphically interesting:

You can read more about them here.
