  1. Hello everyone.

    What you think?

  2. Hi acroporas,

Great color and contrast. The only thing you might have tried was to get lower and shoot up.

    Nice job.

  3. I agree with Tom, shooting horizontally would have added a nicely contrasting background to the beautiful coloUrs of the Angel. I do appreciate that it's not always possible due to coral growth however. Still a pleasing shot to have, and something that can be improved upon next time.

  4. Ok then, shoot up not down. As I look through all my pictures, there are only a handfull with a blue background, and they are among my favorites. Now I know why.

To me what really makes this shot is the gargonian in the background. Much better than dead rock that is usually there but maby not as good as if there were some blue in it too.

  5. I totally agree about the gorgonian really helping the shot. I'd love to see the angel against the gorgonian for contrast, with some open water (deep blue) above that.

I still think this is a great shot either way.

  6. Nice photo! Just my two cents worth, but the Caribbean Queen Angelfish is one of the toughest fish to photograph well. They're not all that common (many more Grays and French Angelfish), and they're always moving and turning when you spot one.

It's a better photo of a Queen Angelfish than I've ever taken!

  7. Thanks for the compliment Jim. It is my favorite pic of a queen angel too.
