What happens with this section of the forum?

I was wondering what is happening with this section of the forum.

I can see threads with lots of readings, more than a hundred but no answers or comments.

I just commented two of these threads, one posted 3 month ago and the other 1 month ago.

Some of the unanswered threads are related with specific equipment or configurations, maybe nobody has that kind of configuration, that is reasonable, therefore nobody will comment the subject.

But what about subjects that are about lighting techniques?

Or you think that this subject has been discussed too much so the new guys must search for the answers for them self?

Or maybe you prefer to discuss lighting techniques during the workshops instead of in this forum.

For me the lighting technique is one of the most important abilities of an underwater photographer.

Come on guys, share your knowledge!!!

I'm not talking about the guys that are constantly supporting the forum, they do a great job and I say thank you.

But what about all the guys in the POTW competition?

Maybe I'm just in a bad day, but sometimes I find silence very annoying.

I feel your pain on this one. I would like to comment and give constructive opinions but only know enough to be a hinderance. I check new post most everyday mainly to learn and find out who is doing what and what's new. I very well could be one of those 100 readings but don't think I should reply unless I know for sure what works. It might be something that works for me but I have it all backasswards and there is 25 better ways to do it.

I have your feeling too, having provided some of these unanswered questions.

I think it happens all around most of WP. The amount of interesting topics/answers is declining IMHO probably due to the maturity of the community.
