For those who cannot find the update in the App Store's updates tab, first drag your FCX icon from the applications folder to the trash. Now go to the updates tab and reinstall. Your projects and media are safe so you shouldn't have a problem. The reinstall will show that you have the latest version.
For the Compressor update, once done, upon opening Compressor, it will still say Version 4 but it will include that update as well; it just doesn't show it.
