DS150 strobe?

  1. It's an old ikelite strobe. It's not really worth anything. You can still use it without ttl. The rest of the kit is good but I would not include the 150 when your deciding if it's a good deal or not.

  2. It is a very old strobe. Fine if it works. I would place no value on it. If anything goes wrong, it's not fixable. It's not really a DS150. It was just called a Substrobe back in the day. Perhaps an SS would be more appropriate.

  3. They are awesome....and dicey. I inherited a couple from my Dad who bought them in the 1980s. The 150 produces a crapload of light, but only when it feels like it. It's also been relatively bombproof as an off-camera strobe attached to the tanks of less than careful cave divers. Unfortunately it weighs about 4kg out of the water, and the flash tubes are no longer made. If you do buy this package, I would be interested in buying the strobe off you for parts to fix mine up. Let me know!
