It's a simple, but tragic story of boy loves girl, girl loves boy, boy loves cameras, girl buys lens that doesn't work with boy's Nimar housing, or rather, from what we can find out, there is no compatible port available for this housing. Grrrrr...
The lens is a NIKON fit, Sigma 8-16 mm F4.5-5.6 DC HSM, current average retail price approx £549. Never been underwater, been used a handful of times.
So to find a happy ending this lens needs trading or selling ASAP, or better yet, a way found of using this lens with the Nimar, bearing in mind zoom function underwater isn't strictly required at this point.
To top it off Nimar have discontinued their dome port suitable for the sigma 10-20.
The lens is available for £420, delivered in the UK (+paypal fees if you wish to go that route), delivery cost will need to be confirmed for other countries.
I'm definitely open to ideas and discusion of how to resolve this story in the best possible way, there is also cash available if the right lens/port combination comes along.
Trading for a Nikon 10.5 fisheye would be near ideal ![]()
