We've all heard of the famous sardine run on the East coast of South Africa. Well there is also an aggregation of sardines on the West coast just around Capetown. They also do a range extension up the West coast but because of the depth of the coast, they don't hit the coast as often as on the East coast. However, when it happens!

Damn that is amazing. I was at Chapman's Peak bay area end of August at that exact location looking a the extreme surfers breaking 20m waves. That was also the around the time Southern Right whales started to coming in and I remember Chris Fallows said some years you could see huge schools of Sardines. Now this - this is one amazing place.
