Ikelite DS161 and Canon 5D mrk II

Hi,

I just bought 2 Ikelite DS161 strobes for my Canon 5D mark II camera.

Somehow the camera wont let me enter the "Flash" settings within the camera. Sometimes it does, and often throws me out - stating that I am not using a speedlite strobe. But when I can access the menu, everything is greyed out? Is this a designtflaw from Ikelite or could there be some problems with the TTL in the ikelite house? Any suggestions?

Sorry missed that you already mentioned that. Check if the little switch under the camera tray is on the right position (ds125 or 161) not in the ds51/50 setting. Are both strobes on ttl?

Have the same problem but with the Sea & Sea housing .

I'm sorry to tell you that the 5D MII flash menu only works with canon speedlite flashes .

With in any other kind of flash the 5D will only give the command to fire the flash .
